The New Astrology THE NEW ASTROLOGY by Suzanne White - A pioneering work of creative genius! This is one horoscope book you cannot live without. In The New Astrology? Suzanne White blends the western astrological signs with their Chinese counterparts to create 144 different "New" Astrological signs. In her usual engaging style, Suzanne White tells us that a Leo/Dog is nothing like a Leo born Monkey or Tiger. An Aries/Ox might run rings around a Taurus/Cat in business, but can't hold a candle to her in the bedroom, while a Scorpio born in a Dragon year is likely to take over the world, but less likely to be the guy you want to take home to mother. Discover your New Astrology? sign and how it drives you in love, at home, in the office and even at the bank! You will moreover be both surprised and tantalized by the insights that New Astrology? imparts about the actions and reactions of your friends, family and even your enemies. Once you own this book, you will never again meet someone new and have to wonder about his or her character. It's all here in plain sight complete with a section on compatibilities, choice of profession and predictions for the future for each individual New Astrology? sign. Published by St. Martin's Press. Macmillan London and in Dutch, German, Spanish and worldwide in other languages around the world. ISBN: 0312017979; (May 1988). Also ISBN 950-04-0917-8 and ISBN 0312565194. First Published 1986.

It?s scary, April 18, 2001

This book is so spot on it scares me. I have a lot of books about Chinese astrology which are definately more detailed but this combination of Western and Eastern astrology gives a short description of each sign which is totally enough. I like the way the book is structured. Each sign, for example Leo/Tiger or Virgo/Pig is described on 4-5 pages which is perfect for a quick and playful reading. This sounds superficial, but Suzanne White is so accurate that people think I?m making it up when I read their?s out loud. Astrology is something you believe or you don?t, but I can actually tell certain people what Chinese sign they are by their looks. Not all, but for example women born in the year of the rat all have mouse-like features(examples: Sally Kellerman, Lauren Bacall, Gwyneth Paltrow are all born in the year of the rat) and Suzanne White is really good in recognizing and describing this. The way she writes might seem a bit casual but it?s not. She?s better than some more "serious" written books on this subject translated from Chinese into English. Just buy it and compare it with your friends and you?ll know what I?m talking about.

Contains an informative and interesting explanation of the two types of astrology in the beginning of the book. The author follows this with a general break down of the Eastern personality types. She then zeros in on more specific personality types by combining the Western Astrology Signs with the Eastern Signs. My friends and I have been amazed at the accuracy of the Compatibility section! But she doesn't just describe "Love" signs or the "good" side of each personality. The New Astrology gives both positive and negative aspects; the environment best suited for each personality; how they function within home and family; and suggested professions. I think it is the most fun when used in conjunction with, and as a supplement to, conventional astrology charts. So it's not brain surgery...lighten up!

This book is amazing. For the most part it is very accurate and may help give more insight on a friend, lover or family member. Amazing, and fun!

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!, March 3, 2000

This really is the only astrology book you will ever need. I would give it a 10 out of 10 with all other books falling to a 5 or below in accuracy. I read my mother's horoscope to her and her hair seemed to go straight up in the air. After reading a couple to my brother, he went around goggled-eyed for several days. This woman must have a crystal ball! It's weird. She states that I never get out of the house. Not true! I did about a week ago. She says that I have a self-deprecatory sense of humor! NOT TRUE! (lol, huccup, grimace, brb). It is so weird that this is not really an astrology book. It's more a book of Unknown Facts. If you are a kreep like myself, you will want to buy it and get the "goods" on everybody. Just don't look at yours! Mine said I could be vicious at times! Not True. Only when I write reviews for Amazon.com. Buy the book if you want the goods on EVERYBODY. Then hide it somewhere. Good luck. You will need it.

I am a numerologist and am always looking at new ways of understanding people. I saw this book for a brief while in 1992 at a bookshop called, would you believe it, Fountainhead. I was really amazed at some of its predictions and pleased to be put in the same league as JFK and Jean Paul Sartre, both Gemini-Snakes. However, by the time I made up my mind to buy it, it was gone.So it was a real pleasure to see it back on Amazon.com today.

I received the Guide to Love, but it isn't that glorious, funny & amazing as The New Astrology. So I was looking for Suzanne's own comment on her book and fans and found out that the book has been re-published again!Thank you in the name of me & all my friends!

TOO BAD THIS BOOK IS OUT OF STOCK!!! This book was frequently used by all my friends. I had to copie pages so many times for friends that the publisher can send me to jail for it! And now my book is lost, or stolen, I don't know. As a Capricorn-Snake I've fallen in love with a Lion-Rooster. I remember there was a little bizar twist with the Lion-Rooster. And now I'm desperate for the funny and clear vieuw of Susanne. Who would be so kind to mail me this page?

This is IT !!, April 27, 1999

I have been wondering the unification of western (horizontal) and eastern (vertical) astrologies. We all know that it doesn't make any sense for all people born under year-X would share same characteristics. Likewise, if people in the world born in January are similar. Suzanne has fulfilled my dream by creating 144 possible personalities. This is by far the most accurate book I've ever read. I'd say something around 80% accuracy. The other 20%, of course, lies on the education, family ubringing, culture, and financial background of the individuals. Let's say this book tells us what our default personality is, and in a very unique way that is. I recommend this book very highly. Thank you.

Definitely an astrological interpretation worth reading., April 19, 1999

I purchased my hardcover copy about ten years ago and I was constantly referring to it for myself or others. So many people would respond "wow...this is so much like..." followed by their name or someone else's. I was constantly loaning this book and unfortunately, about a year ago someone neglected to return it and I have been unable to determine it's whereabouts. I have never missed a book so much and look forward to obtaining a copy. You should too.

It's the perfect book!, August 30, 1998

Best Astrology Book I've Ever Found, September 1, 1997
Reviewer: EtcGrfx@aol.com from New York, USA

Suzanne White has obviously put many years of research and thought into this book. She is clever, informed and generally unbiased. Her profiles are interesting and nearly all people I've shared this book with agree she's pretty much on the money! This is the only accurate profile I've ever found of myself. I'm a Cancer Dragon, simply Cancer doesn't fit totally, got a lot of dragon combined. All Astro buffs NEED this book

Surprise! Chinese/Western Zodiac fits a skeptic, June 21, 1997
Reviewer: A reader

While looking for a reference book one day, I found a book of Chinese zodiac written by a Caucasian woman. "Hmmph," I thought, "What does she know about Chinese astrology! If other people's horescope fits my life, then she's an idiot." So I read, the year of the ox, pig, rat, tiger, dragon, and none of them fits mine. "Wow,it can't be." But it was, the year of the snake fits me almost perfectly. Since then, I'm a Suzanne White fan. My friends enjoy reading about themselves & about their spouse. The book is good in that: a) reveals your strength and weakness, b)demonstrates strength in one situation can be a weakness in the next (real life) c) shows the profession best suited to your friends and how many of them are actually in that profession, d)how the love, family, business, home, decoration, personality profiles fit you. The book probably works best if you read your horescope to your friends & family, "sometimes, one is not the best judge of self." Surprising this book even accurately points out friends who had a drug history. Simply put, this book nailed too many things down to be completely coincidental. Overall, this books is fun, informative, & insightful. Sincerely, Jenny Santo
