Who are you?

Man's best friend indeed you are: honest, faithful and sincere. You give devotion in return for affection. You are (mostly) an agreeable companion. To know you is to love you - except when you let go with a brutish comment at us poor unsuspecting bystanders. But somehow you redeem yourself. Knowing how to say you're sorry is one of your most charming traits. You are afraid. Of a lot of things. All the time. You don't trust much and even when you do, you remain on your guard.

You believe in justice and espouse campaigns against unfair practices. You respect tradition and value honor. You take real pleasure in helping others. In life's big western movie, you definitely wear a white cowboy hat. You are an ace critic and can sniff out deceit in a trice. My advice? Try not to be so rigorously "right" all the time. Better to be happy than right.

Marry up with a carefree Tiger or a talented Horse. Don't go near love affairs with people born in the signs of Ox, Dragon or Snake. Oh, you might have a jolly fling with one of those above-mentioned signs. But long term, the Ox's stolid, stick-in-the-mud ways will drag you down. You need "up" people around you. The Dragon is of course a very "up" person. But frequently he is "up" to no good. The Dragon's egocentricity and need to be "righter" than you will drive you to drink - or worse. Ditto the Snake. But for other reasons. You will be attracted to Snakes. But when you catch them in the first fib, you will be out of there like a shot. Dogs do not tolerate chicanery.

A finely-honed critical sense allows you to sniff out deceit and track down fraud. Trouble is, this flair for truth is so keen that it sometimes causes you to become pessimistic. Terminal disappointment and even depression may ensue. As a hedge against this tendency to hopelessness, try to surround yourself with amusing folks whose optimism and joie de vivre help you maintain your own equilibrium.

We envy you your uncanny determination. You are doggedly tenacious. You are the best of companions and never let a friend in trouble stay there. That's the Saint Bernard in you. We love that quality. Use it well.
